Reference made to the Stations - the Art Deco station at West Allerton was the Hornby Dublo inspiration. West Allerton was on the main line out of Liverpool Lime Street. Through a deep sandstone cutting, first station being Edgehill ( George Stephenson ) and then on to Mossley Hill ( having passed under the Penny Lane Bridge ( Fab Four ) and then onto West Allerton , on past Edgehill Engine Sheds steam ( now long gone ) .Four lines onto Ditton Junction, and then into Crewe , Tring, and London Euston. The Express from Liverpool Lime Street to London Euston " The Red Rose ". Often a City or Duchess - sometimes a Jubilee. " It's a Jub " called the 13 / 14 year old with Ian Allen's to hand. The lines 3 and 4 would carry freight - and coal trains 9F at almost walking pace to keep Liverpools lights on. Also the Deltic on test runs out of English Electric at Newton le Willows. Blue with yellow chevrons on its nose.

excellent footage 👍I have been to folkestone harbour it is much different now it is certainly not the same anymore from the footbridge that goes across the track to where there was once a level crossing us now overgrown with weeds and has been used for fly tipping pity it closed 😟

Been thinking about this Faller 120199 station canopy for my N scale layout. I need a canopy to span 5x N scale tracks and the width of the 120199 being 270mm will fit well. The only problem will be the length (570mm), that's too long for my platforms. So I'm hoping I can a omit a section during construction. Also I'm not fussed on the tall centre section on the roof. I'm hoping I can delete this and simply use the "glass" pieces to cover across the main curved glass roof. Also will not be able to use any of the hand rails as the scale won't fit well with N scale.

Absolute delight to see another video from you. Wonderful selection of locos on the go! I know you've been making videos for quite a while now but youtubes notifications aren't what they used to be. I remember watching some of your videos all the way back in 2007/2008. So nice to rekindle with the layout once again.

OVS Bulleid obviously used his experience and expertise from working with Nigel Greeley (in his time with the LNER before the SR grabbed him!) and European design at the time to produce these wonderful locos. And what a display that must’ve been at Swanage. Your collection of locos Stewart is really impressive - and they are really top notch. Although it could start a friendly “war”, about which SR designer us SR devotees prefer. I have a huge liking of the Schools class of Maunsell but also Drummond’s M7.🤔 Great video as usual mate!👍🏻

Nice, but Bullied Pacifics are too quiet for my liking. I prefer the sharp bark and Swindon whistle of Great Western steamies. Show me a GWR Manor engine hard at work, and I'll show you how much I truly love her. For me, God's Wonderful Railway comes out on top.

What a lovely collection of bullied locos, really love the wartime black colour scheme..! The royal train is also a nice touch.. Great stuff..! Always like looking at your great layout.

That is a fantastic collection mate. The Canadian and Asiatic colour variations are top notch. I have 11 or so Bulleids in varying shades of green. I wanted to collect them all, but there was opposition to that idea. I didn't realise there were so many. Really enjoyed the video. Steven.

Brilliant video, just good solid model railway equipment. Did the job like a real railway. Now, couplings. I still think its either rather ingenuous, or could be naivety, for Peco to say they came up with the coupling, here is the ingenious prototype and see how it works etc when the same had been in mass production on wagons in 0 gauge in 1938 by a large manufacturer. Maybe Prichard and Meccano just plain wasn't aware and didn't pay much attention to what was happening in the world of model railways. Ironically of course if they HAD been looking, Meccano could've said to Prichard we're already well aware of your coupling, not paid any royalties and as a consequence we may not have ended up with the Peco company. Things work out, Although maybe AF should've hassled Peco and said hey: you're using our coupling!

lovely to see your kit built D1 running sweetly. I acquired a kit built Class K 2-6-0 which is a very sluggish runner. Not sure if it was k's kit or Nu Cast but I need to find someone who can repair it in the UK. as that is beyond me.

🤔Dapol’s A4 4482 hauling SR stock was obviously a cross regional service Stewart! What a wonderfully eclectic mix of coaches on that train! I’m impressed that the developers of the sound chips can get the sound of locos that are no longer available to record - like the turbo loco!

It's amazing what we find without looking for it, these days. Last weekend, I visited the Llangollen Railway to take a ride. I visited the town afterwards. Wandering around the back of the Tenovus Charity Shop, I caught sight of something I wasn't even looking for: a Felix the Cat Beanie Toy. I bought the item and Felix is now on my bed, making friends with my other plushies.

Brian’s God’s Wonderful Railway is a joy to view. What was the consensus about Kernow’s steam rail motor? It’s fine looking model, but not without some problems it seems in other videos. That Billinton loco is great - I hope kit building never dies out! Another enjoyable video Stewart.
